Chapter 8.?Execution?Maria separates Mike and Ed. She tells both that the other has a connection to Menga through Nikki. Maria commands Mike to kill Ed; Mike refuses, but Ed agrees. Ed is about to stab Mike and then Cresha freezes him. Maria decides not to execute either of them. Ed declares loyalty to the cause and says he is sorry about Nikki, he did not know she was with Menga.
